How Chicken Road plays
Chicken Road from InOut Games is a crash-style game, not a reel slot. You place a stake and guide a chicken across a road one lane at a time. Every lane you cross raises the multiplier on your stake. You can cash out after any step and keep the current multiplier, or keep going for a higher one. If the chicken is hit, the round ends and the stake is lost.
Before each round you choose one of four difficulty levels: easy, medium, hard or hardcore. InOut’s description is simple: each harder level raises the possible win, and raises the risk of losing at each step with it.
Risk in practice
This kind of game feels like a series of small decisions, but the maths is fixed: the RTP applies on average whatever you do, and no cash-out strategy beats it. The very large maximum in listings sits at the end of the hardest level, and surviving every step to reach it is extremely unlikely. Rounds are fast, so it is easy to play many in a short time. Set a stake limit and a time limit before you start.
RTP settings
InOut gives 98% for Chicken Road, higher than most slots. That does not make it a better bet in practice: the fast pace means more stakes are placed per minute, and the variance on the harder levels is extreme. A separate game called Chicken Road Vegas has a lower listed RTP; make sure you know which one you are playing.
Questions people ask
Is Chicken Road a slot?
No. It is a crash-style game: you decide when to stop, and each step carries a chance of losing the stake. It has no reels or paylines.
What is the RTP of Chicken Road?
98% according to InOut Games. Because it is a crash-style game, the RTP applies on average over all your decisions; stopping earlier or later does not raise it.
What does the huge max win mean?
Listings give it as the top multiplier; InOut's game page does not state it. Reaching the top of the hardest level means surviving every step in a row, which is extremely unlikely. Treat it as a theoretical ceiling.
Who makes Chicken Road?
InOut Games. It was released on 4 April 2024, according to InOut.
